Welcome to the Borough of Robesonia's Website..........

New Homeowners

We’re glad you’ve chosen to settle in The Borough of Robesonia! Robesonia was established in 1855 and incorporated in 1913.

Following are several reasons Robesonia is such a great place to live:

  • We have an enthusiastic and committed borough council.

  • Two elementary schools (Grades K-4), a Middle School (Grades 5-8) and a new Senior High School in the Conrad Weiser Area School District.

  • All schools have very active PTOs.

  • Robesonia Borough is a member of the Western Berks Regional Police Department which consists of 4 full-time officers and eight part-time officers who provide 24/7 coverage to the Boroughs of Robesonia and Wernersville.

  • Volunteer Fire Company (Pioneer Hose #1) located in the center of town, along with an active Fire Police Force.

  • Recreation includes tennis court, baseball fields, mini football field, basketball hoops and a tot lot. There is an organized summer playground program (non-school) and nature trail. There is a pavilion (which can be rented out) on a large grass lot picnic area next to the tot lot.

  • Public Library, which is part of the County Library System, is located in the borough hall. Books, videos and music can be borrowed from the library. Several story hours are offered during the week and a very active summer reading program is offered. Membership is free!

  • Social and/or Civic Organizations include Boy Scouts, Friends of the Robesonia Furnace, Inc., Conrad Weiser Lions Club, POS, Robesonia Senior Citizens and the Robesonia Community Association, just to name a few!

  • Robesonia Furnace Historic District is on the National Registry. Lots of history here!

  • Sewer and water systems are in place.

  • Trash collection and recycling.

  • Several larger businesses for possible employment: Magnatech International, Sonoco Products, Snap-on Tools.

  • Quarterly newsletter provided to all residents of the borough to keep you informed of the goings on in your borough.

  • Three churches in the borough: St. Francis de Sales (Catholic), St. Paul’s U.C.C., and Trinity Lutheran Church. All have very active congregations!

  • Robesonia has been named Tree City, USA for 13 years running thanks to our dedicated Shade Tree Commission.
